Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist
Wood River Health Services (WRHS), a Federally Qualified Health Center, and Psychological Centers (PC), a staff-friendly statewide community service agency, have partnered to provide integrated primary care and behavioral health services for the diverse population of patients served at the Health Center’s Hope Valley offices. Together, WRHS and PC offer excellent primary care services, psychotherapy, medication management, and close collaboration for the best possible patient care through the strong alliance between our organizations’ complimentary strengths and commitments.
WRHS and PC are jointly recruiting a PCNS to provide psychiatric evaluations, ongoing medication management, and consultation with on-site Primary Care Providers and therapists re: treatment of patients with psychiatric disorders and with significant behavioral components to their whole person health. Psychiatric consultation is available (but existing arrangements are readily accommodated). We offer expert peer consultation, training, and supervision, backup, and collaboration with multiple disciplines in a friendly setting and friendly organizations.

Licensed Mental Health Clinicians
The Center for Infant and Early Childhood Behavioral Health Services is seeking psychologists to perform home and office-based psychological evaluations for referrals of general outpatient, from pediatricians, and from Early Intervention programs.
The Center for Integrated Care is looking for licensed mental health clinicians with a focus in Health Psychology for placements in medical practices in Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts. Over 30 licensed clinicians (and growing) currently practice at private medical practices and community health centers including general adult, family, pediatric and Ob/Gyn primary care practices. Clinicians are independent contractors and receive ongoing training and administrative support by staff at Psychological Centers. Clinicians work collaboratively with other health providers to treat common psychological diagnoses, as well as assisting patients in changing health behaviors and improving self-care for chronic conditions. The Center for Integrated Care strives to improve the quality of medical and mental health care by providing coordinated behavioral services in a primary care environment. Previous behavioral medicine experience is desirable, but our staff will orient and train qualified clinicians. We will continue reviewing CVs as new positions and opportunities arise in RI and southern Massachusetts.
We are currently hiring for a specialist in behavioral medicine for at least one Providence primary care practice.
Specific current CIC needs also include clinicians for one expanding and several family and internal medicine practices around the state in which we are opening new services.
The Center for School-Based Services is currently recruiting for:
Outpatient clinicians at The Learning Community Charter School in Central Falls. Requirements: Licensed clinician. Preferred: Spanish speaking. Hours: flexible, but about 1 day/week, providing insurance reimbursable services to school aged children.
Outpatient clinicians: Psychological Centers is looking for LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, and/or licensed psychologists to provide outpatient evaluation and treatment services to children and to provide outpatient treatment to adults in various sites around RI. Spanish speaking licensed child clinician for outpatient child and family therapy services in our Providence offices. Hours are flexible, but we need capacity for 1 day/week or (significantly) more, providing insurance reimbursable services to children and their families.
Licensed and Unlicensed Mental Health Clinicians
The Center for Community Based Services is currently looking for licensed or license-eligible clinicians (LMHC, LCSW, LICSW, LMFT) to offer intensive community-based treatment services for families with children and adolescents at risk for out of home placement due to disruptive behavior, serious emotional disturbance, or other behavioral disorders. CCBS offers small caseloads, a flexible schedule, a high level of training and clinical supervision in evidence-based practices, and a supportive team working environment. This is a full time salaried position with excellent benefits (medical, dental, continuing education, etc)!
Full-time clinical position providing intensive home/family and community-based treatment for individuals who are at risk of out-of-home placement or are returning home from placement. Services are primarily provided in the home, but clinicians may also intervene at school and in other community settings. Travel within Rhode Island required. Clinicians will receive extensive training. Interested candidates must hold a Masters degree in psychology, social work, family therapy or related field. License not required. Motivated to work with families of children/teens who are at risk for placement due to serious behavioral problems. Persons from underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged to apply. The Center for Community Based Services is currently looking for hourly Behavior Assistants to work closely with clinicians in serving children and their families in homes around RI.
